Walk & Talk Therapy
Therapy does not always have to take place in an office. Walk & Talk Therapy offers the opportunity to engage in psychotherapy outdoors, with the option to walk, sit, or combine both throughout the session.
For some people, walking while talking can feel more natural and comfortable than sitting face-to-face in a traditional therapy setting. Being outdoors can also provide a change of environment while working toward the same therapeutic goals addressed in traditional psychotherapy.
Walking is always optional. The pace, route, and amount of walking can be adjusted based on your comfort, preferences, and the focus of the session.

What to Expect
Walk & Talk sessions provide the same individualized, evidence-based approach as traditional individual therapy, simply in an outdoor setting. Sessions can involve walking, sitting, or a combination of both.
Because sessions take place outdoors, weather, privacy, accessibility, and other environmental considerations are discussed beforehand. If conditions are not appropriate for an outdoor session, another available therapy format or rescheduling may be discussed.
Location
Walk & Talk Therapy is currently available in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with Cedar Lake serving as the standard meeting location. Alternative nearby locations may also be discussed and arranged in advance based on individual needs and preferences.
